There is good reason to believce that Stanley Kubrick partipated with NASA in the faking of Apollo. Though some say he "directed" the Apollo fraud, I think it is more likely he advised and lent technical assistance to the effort. His ScotchLite method of pasting a background behind a live foreground shot was widely employed in his movie 2001, A Space Odyssey. The movie was released in 1968, but Kubrick's knowledge of the method must predate that. This technique is consistent with plethora of photos published by NASA that appear to have used it. A clever video came called Moon Shining came out with Kubrick's persona inserted into many scenes. While his image seems to be fake, what you see outside his image is very compelling. You see the studio, the life size props, the scale models and te space actors at work. This is not a "training" film. This is the moon landing fraud being perpetrated before your eyes.
